The tourism sector in Tamil Nadu has been highly responsive to the evolving needs of tourists through the introduction of new tourism products and the development of unique destinations. The tourism industry is witnessing a shift from destination-based tourism to experience-based tourism, resulting in the growth of niche tourism sectors.
The Tourism Operator Registration System has been developed as a one-stop solution for the registration of Tourism Operators in the State. With the aim of making tourism safe, accessible and sustainable for all stakeholders by streamlining and standardising tourism activities in the state, a stakeholder friendly and transparent online process has been formulated for the registration of the Tourism Operators.
The Government has carefully considered the subject and hereby issued the following guidelines for registration of
Camping Operator, Bed and Breakfast / Homestay Establishments, Adventure Tourism Operator, Caravan Tour Operator and Caravan Park Operator
activities.
